I'm trying to use the standard calendar and it won't let me save any events. When I select Save, I just spins with 'Loading calendars."   I've tried to "add' a calendar, but all I get is a blank screen.  Am I missing something?

@Slasher  I can definitely help out with the calendar issue on the Incredible 2.  It is a very important function on the phone that I use daily.

Follow these steps to add a calendar event:

From the main Home screen, tap menu, and then tap Calendar

On any Calendar view, press MENU and then tap Add event.

To specify the date and time of the event, do one of the following:

If there is a time frame for the event, tap the From and To date and time to set them.

If it is a special occasion such as a birthday or a whole-day event, set the From and To date, then select the All day check box.

I am certain these steps will solve you issue.

Thanks.

I totally understand the importance of being able to add events and manage the calendar on your phone. I would be lost without the calendar on my phone.

I haven't heard of this being a known issue with the Incredible 2. How long have you had this issue? Have you been able to add events to your calendar in the past?

One thing you can try is deleting the calendar from your phone and adding it back.

If you continue to have issues with your calendar after deleting and adding it back, please let us know so we can further assist you.

We're here to help.

John,

How long have you had this issue? - Not sure.  I have never used the calendar app, but recently thought it would be a good thing to keep track of things.

Have you been able to add events to your calendar in the past? - I have tried numerous times to add an event.  It goes through the screens, but when I choose SAVE; it pops up with “Loading calendars" and just spins and spins.

There are no calendars to delete.  Even when I try to add one, it goes back to a blank screen.

On a side note...I set up my Google calendar, thinking that was the problem, but that is not syncing up.  In the Accounts screen, it gives me an error saying sync is unavailable.

TCarollo, thanks for your response. I want to check a few other settings in your calendar to make sure we get this working for you. Open your Calendar, press the Menu button, More, Calendars. Is Google checked? When you add new events, under Calendar at the top of the page, does it show your Gmail account selected? Also you said it shows sync is unavailable under Calendar in the Accounts & Sync section. Does it give you the option to check Calendar? Try unchecking and then checking again. Another thing I have seen is where some phones don't have the option to sync calendar at all. In this case, adding another Gmail account resolves this issue. You can try creating a new Gmail account and adding it to the phone. This normally adds the option of calendar sync to the first Gmail account. You can then delete the second one.

Let us know if this resolves your issue.
