Stop D2 from connecting to VZW website on USB connection

I recently got my Droid 2, and one very annoying thing it does is when I hook it up to my pc through the USB cable.  When the D2 is on USB mass storage setting, my web browser will automatically connect to a Verizon website that tries to sell apps for the droids.   Even if it weren't inconveniencing me, I would want to delete this "feature" because I don't feel like having advertising shoved down me constantly!

I use Firefox for a browser, but my guess is that is basically irrelevant.

Thanks for any assistance!

Right click on the moto connect icon in your task bar and choose do nothing.

Where is this "Moto Connect Icon".  I don't see it on the Droid 2, Firefox, or the V Cast Media Manager.

It's in the toolbar on your PC.

I guess I do not have that software loaded on my XP system.  I would expect it to be in the Motorola driver or the V CAST Media Manager.  Where else should I look?

There is nowhere else to look. Moto connect gets installed on the PC. It is not part of Android nor vcast.

While it is very nice to post back indicating that someone was helpful, it's also nice to give them kudos using the kudos button.

... Or mark the thread as solved.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
