I have been getting AOL mail ever since I first set up my phone, but all of the sudden it stopped getting e-mails yesterday. I have used the two arrows at the top and that just spins with no results. I have gone into e-mail settings under email delivery and set it to "every 15 minutes" but once I do that it still reads "The fetch schedule is being used for: no accounts." I am getting my yahoo and my gmail mail. So, I am very confused. Can anyone help??

Had same issue but Verizon Tech figured it out. Its a Google-AOL issue. To fix the problem, try this:
1) Delete your AOL email acct on your phone.
2) Add a new email account using the "other" button, not the AOL button.
3) Use imap.aim.com for incoming setting and smtp.aim.com for outgoing setting. This is not "instant messaging" but what is needed for AOL mail now. Of course your email address and password remain the same.

Hi ojchan,
I check my email accounts on my phone as well and I can see how inconvenient this issue is. Try deleting your email account from your phone, power off/on and then add your AOL account again. Let us know if this resolves your concerns.

Tried this suggestion. It didn't work. It's frustrating for me too. My AOL works fine on other platforms. What is Verizon going to do to fix it?

I have the same problem. My aol mail stopped coming in on LG Lucid a few days ago. Gmail works fine. So far no one
has been able to tell me what the issue is. Deleting and re-creating the account does not help. This is also true on my
Sony S tablet. Gmail will work but the Aol mail will not come in.

Good afternoon messey7!
I know its frustrating not getting your important email to your mobile device! I use mine all the time! Is this still an issue for the AOL account? Can you login to the email account from a computer and receive email like normal? Some email providers design applications to download from the Play store that would better than the native email system. AOL does offer such an application. Please download and keep me posted if this addressed your concerns.
Thanks,

Thanks for responding. Yes, this is still an issue. I deleted the account
and recreated it and got a few emails in but now not getting them again. I
am getting them on computer and tablet.

OK adding another reply here. Just started receiving a few aol messages on phone. Don't know if recreating the account
worked but it has done something. We'll have watch and see. So far, working again.

Just a little note to let you know someone suggested the K9 mail app to push the AOL mail through. I got it from Google market and put in AOL email address and it started pushing them in immediately. Works like a charm and it's free.

Hi Barberlady!
We want you to be happy with your email! Let's get this resolved asap! What happens when you try to delete the email off the phone? Any error message? Is the email deleting from the phone, but not from the server? If so, you may need to check the AOL email account settings. There is a setting called leave a "copy of the messge on the server", this may need to be turned off. I look forward to working with you to resolve this.
Thanks,

Both my phone and mywife's both stopped working yestersday. Its not AOL, I just checked AOL via the web. AOL is sending and recieving email fine. THE problem is obviously with the verizon server.
My corporate ( exchange ) email is still working fine
very concened I a missed two very important emails today.

AOL mail works fine.
The phone appears to be communicating with the verizon server properly. I can delete emails from my phone.
The problem appears to be with the verizon mail server communicating with the AOL mail server. I did notice a couple of log in failure notices from verizon on one account, and I reset the password immediately and mail resumed.
I appreciate that there are other AOL mail applications, but I would expect more interest in fixing the verizon problem rather than third party workarounds on this forum.
Glad to reset the email accounts if someone knows for sure that fises the problem, but we have the same problem with multiple phones and acccounts here.....its not a phone issue per se
IMHO
tech support here needs to push this on up the line and be talking to whomever manages/repairs the verizon mail server to get the problem resolved

go to the google play store download the AIM mail app.
enter your email address and password in the boxes. You now have the stand alone apl that works. It is also available for iphone users.
Get rid of that junk native email app and download only stand alone apps. You will be much happier.
Good Luck

AIM didn't work for me -- I'm not interested in AOL instant messaging.
But I found what seems to be a solution: I set up aolmail.com in my Chrome browser, then put the bookmark for the site on my home screen.
Try the link on this page: http://mobile.aol.com/platform/Android/. It's not an app, but it will send you to the AOL Mobile site; from inside your browser, you'll find add an AOL mail bookmark that you can send to your home screen.
