Storage Designations - sdcard vs. sdcard-ext

I finally finished migrating all of my stuff from my Droid 1 to the Bionic. One issue arose that I think might be useful to others. I have several programs (Adobe Reader, DataViz apps, etc) that only look at what is labeled as "sdcard" for the files. The Bionic has the sdcard folder in the internal storage which is not directly accessible as a USB Mass Storage Device from a PC. I had to first transfer all of my documents from the backup to the visible drive (sdcard-ext) and then use AndroZip to move those files into the internal storage area. I think that eventually Adobe, DataViz and others will recognize the storage splits, but it was a bit painful.

An update to my previous post. I discovered that there is a setting in the Setting -> Storage -> Software Install to disable the internal CDROM that was showing up on my PC when the USB cable is connected. When "Disable Software Install" is checked, the internal memory can now be accessed. The changed is not persistent and reverts to the CDROM again when the USB cable is removed.

This is "hidden" in the Software Install Help in the Software Install section! Not exactly intuitive. Anyway, I could have saved myself about an hour of using internal file tools to just copy and paste to the internal SDCARD section. Argh!!
