Dumb question but if I buy the Incredible at retail can I just change my number from my existing phone and keep the same plan and everything?

Of course! If you purchase the Droid Incredible at full retail then you will just need to activate it on your current line to continue with the plan you currently have. However, there will be a $29.99 data plan fee added that is required for the Droid Incredible.
