Swype froze on DroidX

Swype stopped working on my DroidX.  It came pre-installed with Android 2.2.  It has worked for months and froze last night so that I can not even type in individual characters while in Swype mode.  Tried changing text input mode to multi-touch-keyboard and then back to Swype - didn't work.  Tried powering off, removing battery, reinstalling and restarting - still didn't work.  Any ideas?

Sounds like you need to reset the phone or delete any recent apps that you installed sometimes a bad app will muck up unrelated features ....I got a card game that was causing my camera flash to stay on I deleted it and restarted my phone and it solved the issue.
