I have provided some information below that may help with transferring your media and contacts to your Droid X.
Contacts
Export contacts to a .CSV and import them into Gmail. I have provided the instructions below:
***If you use Backup Assistant I have provided the link below:
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=27566 (Step 10 select Android for importing into Gmail)
***If you use Address Book or Entourage I have provided the links below:
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=27539 (Entourage)
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=27538 (Address Book)
***Once you have the .CSV files from the instructions above, just follow the same step given in Step 10 above.
Other Media
The best way to transfer your personal media would be utilizing the mass storage mode. I have provided the instruction below:
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33714&p=null
Once your computer recognizes the handset as a drive, you can drag and drop files from your computer to the handset.
If you wish to use the media sharing, I have listed the instructions below:
http://search.vzw.com/?do=viewdoc&id=33843&p=null
***Please note***Windows Media Sync is only supported with Windows OS.
