I have a new Droid Incredible 2 by HTC. How do I go about sycing my MS Outlook Calendar to my new Droid? Thanks in advance for your help. Robinf
If your Outlook is on exchange server, then Verizon can help you set up a connection to Exchange.
For standalone Outlook, there are a number of 3rd party apps available. It depends on whether you want USB, Wi-Fi or Cloud connections, and whether you want to involve Google in the sync (i.e. Outlook to Google, Google to the phone, or Outlook directly to the phone). CompanionLink is cheap, $14.95 and they provide telephone tech support. I don't recommend MyPhoneExplorer because it installs adware on your computer. Here's a chart.
If you check CompanionLink's site, the cost is $14.95 for a three-month subscription and $49.95 for a single license. The chart on the link is helpful, but several other items are also a bit out-of-date; I hope they update the list at some point.
Other things to consider ... some of these use software that is downloaded to your computer and your phone, while others use software downloaded to your computer and use the native apps (i.e., calendar, contacts) on your phone. And even though several apps say that they transfer tasks, I'm not aware of any that transfer recurring tasks back-and-forth (if someone knows to the contrary, please correct me!).
I'm wondering what items on Syncdroid are out of date? I think the page editor has spent a lot of time investigating.
