Guess I should have listened to my kids -- at 55 maybe a smartphone is smarter than me! Just got the Droid r2d2, have a macbook, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to sync it so that I can get a google calendar working on the phone. My computer does not have windows media player so I have no idea what to do. HELP!!!

You would actually sync your google calendar wirelessly from your Droid without connecting to your computer. During initial set up when you added your gmail account to your phone, you were prompted to select google sync options (Calendar and, Contacts). You can change your calendar sync settings by doing the following:
From the Home screen, press the Menu key --> Touch Settings--> Accounts--> Touch your google email associated with the calendar you want to sync--> Touch the box next to Sync Calendar to start the sync. It will then show a moving sync icon. Once updated, you can then go to your phone's calendar and your saved appointments will be listed.
If you are missing the calendar option, you will need to delete your email and re-add it. For more details, click on the link below:
