System Update for my Droid by Motorola

I currently have Android 2.2 when and going to get a system update and what will it do once i get it? Thanks

UMFootball1989, we do offer the online chat from Monday through Friday 9 am to 7 pm CST. For Customer Service chat, click on Contact Us, select I receive a monthly statement from the "Send an Email" option, then click on the arrow for next.

Please note, you will see a Chat option next to the Send an Email only if a representative is available to assist you.

What makes you think we're getting an update. 2.2.2 is the current firmware and it works perfectly fine.

I've seen 2.3 or something an Android 3?

I really doubt that the moto droid is ever going to have 2.3 since some state that it doesnt have the hardware to support it and android 3 is only for tablets at this poit.

Hello fellow forum members,

Although there isn't an official communication o the original Motorola Droid, I doubt it will get the 2.3 software upgrade. Honeycomb, v3.0, is only available for tablets at this time.
