This isn't that big of a deal, but a little annoying. When I receive a text message, I have a notification sound that I don't know what's driving it. In the text message settings, if I have it set to receive a notification sound, I get a double notification sound. The one I selected from the text settings and the 2nd one which I don't know where it generates from. If I go into the sound settings for the phone itself, the sound I have selected is not the sound that generates on the texts either. It is the "Ripple" sound choice that keeps ringing. How do I get rid of this sound? So that I can just hear the sound that I want to hear from the text settings? Anyone?
Thanks
Lee

Are you using the stock or a third party app for txt? Mine goes off twice, once for Handcent and once for the stock messaging program. Which reminds me I need to turn off the stoxk notification. Thanks!!!

I am using the stock application for Texts. I have not downloaded any text apps. I have downloaded ring apps but have yet to use any of them. Could just having one on my phone cause this to happen?

Hi my name is Leslie is the "ripple" sound a choice in sound settings if not it may have came from 3rd party application. When did the sound start when you got device or after you downloaded a 3rd party application?
