Text Message Slideshows

I am getting used to this new phone and I really like it!  One thing I cant figure out that is driving me nuts is why a series of pictures in a text message always defaults to some sort of timed slideshow...Is there a way to turn this feature off so that I can manually flip thru the images without having to pause or have it timed? Thanks guys!

P.S. Any important new user tips for this phone would be much appreciated.

Thanks for all the replies.  The way pictures show up on all Android devices is to appear as a slideshow.  If this function does not suit your taste you can install a third party messaging app that might fit your needs.  Thank you.

I believe that the sideshow for mms pictures is the default behavior of all android phones. If you want to view the attached pictures for longer periods, you can save the pictures to your photo gallery.
