Text Message Tones

Hello,

I just downloaded a new ringtone and want to use it for my text message alerts. But, it won't let me take the new tone and use it for the text alert. Is there something I'm missing? I'm still new to this phone. My last phone was able to use any ringtone I downloaded and use it where ever I wanted. Any help would be appreciated.

Copy file to SD Card / Media / Audio / Notifications and then you can see the file under the devaulf alert selection option... You may have to restart before the file shows under some cases.

Thank you for your help. I do have a dumb question, how do you copy it to the SD card? I don't see that option when I go to my ringtones.

I am new to this phone too. Just got it on Black Friday. I think what you have to do is take your SD card out of your phone and put it in an SD reader connected to your computer and do the copy and paste that way. I may be wrong though.... We wanted to know the same thing too...
