For about the last week I have stopped getting textmessage notifications and cannot receive any texts at all from non-Verizon Customers and not getting any MSS From Verizon Customers.
Not sure why this is happening.

Well I for one have never heard of MSS, but try dialing *228 and choosing option 1 I believe to update your roaming.

It's actually option 2 to upgrade roaming, my mistake! Looks like we both had typos

If updating your PRLs as suggested by vereyezuhn (thank you!) does not resolve your text messaging concerns, a soft reset may resolve the text messaging issues outlined on your post. To perform a soft reset on your phone please follow the instructions below:
Remove battery with phone ON. Replace battery after 10 seconds. Power phone ON. Allow phone to complete the applications registration.
Please be assured that our goal is to resolve your messaging concerns. If a soft reset does not resolve the issues outlined on your post, is better to contact us for further assistance. You can contact us by sending a private message including your wireless number and the best call back number. You can also call 1-800-922-0204 from a different phone at your convenience and select option 3, please have your phone fully charged and available for troubleshooting when you call us.

Have you gone into your message menu under settings and changed the message limits for text to 999 and for MMS to 99? The default settings are 200 and 20 which are just way too low for most text junkies.
The pathing is
Touch Applications
Touch Messaging (It looks like a gray and red mailbox)
Touch Text Messaging
Touch the Menu key
Touch Message Settings
Touch Message Limit
And then adjust accordingly
Another potential issue could be with the way your contacts are set up. Make sure your contacts do not have a "1" in front of the 10 digit number (ie: 1-243-999-1234). Cell phones do not require the 1 to make contact with the phone number on Verizon since the 1 is for long distance calling with landline accounts
Hope this helps!!

We've had a similar problem among the four droids (three x's) on our family plan. After about an hour with customer service we were able to get two of them txting to one another by taking off the area code for the recipient's number. HUGE PITA, but it works. Now all the phones are having the same problem. As most of our contacts are local numbers, the only way we can txt anyone is by taking off the area code. Finally called CS again and was told that the area code MUST be on to send (um...not our experience), and we were advised to do hard resets. I can't imagine why ALL of our phones began having the same problem within days of one another. It is extremely inconvenient to manually enter phone numbers to txt as opposed to simply hitting reply. Wondering if you ever got a satisfactory answer to your question, or if your problem has resolved somehow? Everything else works great on the phone, but with four teenagers being able to send and receive txts reliably is a big part of our cell service requirements.
