Text Messaging Help Please

Is there a way to disable the text message preview in the notification bar? I would rather just have the text message icon and ringtone to let me know I have a message, not preview who it's from or their message in the bar.

Try this! I have provided the steps to disable the text notifications in the preview bar below.


 

From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
Touch Text Messaging.
Press the Menu button.
Touch Messaging settings.
From the SMS settings section, touch Delivery reports.
Enabled when green check mark in present. 
Uncheck the green check mark.
From the MMS settings section, touch Delivery reports.
Enabled when a green check mark is present.
Uncheck the green check mark.
