A friend sent me a text and it keeps appearing in my status bar, but when I try and open it my phone gets stuck on the loading. In the contact it shows I have one unread message it won't open so I can't delete it and I'm tired of it popping up every time I open my text messages. Does anyone know how to clear this message?

I believe others have mentioned similar errors with their text messaging on their DIncs. I have not encountered this problem, so let me offer a few ways to try to delete it. If these don't work, it appears you will need a more technical answer from someone who has dealt with the issue.
For these possible solutions, you may need to be willing to delete all messages. Just FYI.
(1) Try opening your messages, then press the "menu" button, then press "delete" and select the rogue message for deletion. This option does not require you to open the message, so it should not get stuck.
(2) There are apps in the market which can help in clearing certain histories, including your text message files.

Thanks for the help, I did have to delete all my txt good thing it's a rather new phone lol cause that alert was driving me crazy.
