I can't send text messages for some reason, they'll send to some but not to others. Somebody know whats wrong? I just tried updating my roaming service, but that didn't work.
Makes no sense why they'd send to some numbers and not others .... unless you have an incorrect number, or the recipient has your # blocked ..?? Which TEXTing app are you using? Sounds more like a Carrier-specific issue (e.g., verizon or the other person's carrier) than a Texting App issue.
As the other poster said, it sounds like it's a problem with the recipient's carrier, not your phone.
This has been posted before at http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-X-by-Motorola/Cannot-text-to-some-phone-numbers/td-p/458730 and they reported to have found a solution, you may want to chwck it out..

Try erasing your contact from your address book and then add it again as doing this has resolved similar text messaging issues for other forum members. Additionally, a soft reset may resolve the issues outlined on your post. To perform a soft reset on your phone please follow the instructions below:
Remove battery with phone ON. Replace battery after 10 seconds. Power phone ON. Allow phone to complete the applications registration.
Start a new topic or ask questions in the open forum.
