I have downloaded an app of ringtones but not sure how to set a new one to my texts.  Thanks

The tones, if they showed  up in the right place, should show up in the notification sounds of the sounds section of the settings.

 

If you are having trouble, you can use RIngDroid or Ringo Lite , 2 free apps in the Market, to help get them where you need them.
