For dropping the ball and letting Sprint and HTC get ahead of you guys. All the buzz around google and the web is that HTC Evo 4G is all set on tons and tons of their subscribers phones. A 3rd rate half cracked company pumped out a important update before you. Please be better for the next update. Thank you anyways in all seriousness for moving quick once you found out that your bad competition was getting ahead of you.

I would not say ahead in customers.Verizon still has the most customers then any other U.S. cell provider.

If you read carefully sir my post as sarcastic as it was, was NOT about subscribers. I know that. Thats why I said Sprint is a hackneyed third rate company. I am saying they got beat AGAIN by a company for launching a update. Your statement is null, void, and invalid.

So what? It's only by a couple of days. Plus it's not like VZW said they were going to skip this update. If that was the case then I would understand.

LOL, yeah but the complexity of Verizon's network vs. theirs? I think we need to acknowledge that Verizon has a vast network to test for compatibility of all 2.2 features vs. sprint.

@Bartkowski and Eric559: I acknowledge Verizon has a vast and major network spanning tons of satelites blah blah blah. I am not stating that I do not understand that however, with being the most major network pumping out 2 more moto droid phones (in a matter of a month from each other roughly)you would have thought that the stated and promised update by motorola google and verizon since April they would have worked hard at pumping it out.
I also understand they never said they weren't NOT going to put out the update. It is just disappointing being with #1 and feeling like your getting #3 for service in the upgrades department.
I also highly doubt Sprint is giving you FREE wifi tethering. That would just be **bleep**. I would happily pay a fee for that. I would love to slap the Verizon Rep who said the Droid 1 is incapable of doing that. He is half right as the Texas Instrument chip itself is not "capable" of doing it with the basic firmware in there HOWEVER! if he was not a dumb ox he would know that a firmware update would fix that issue. WE all know that Verizon/Motorola/Google is just trying to get you to purchase a new phone ASAP, By being stuck with "ancient technology" you will feel left behind, sad, angry, and want to shell out hundreds of dollars for the latest greatest toy. WHICH I DO! HA!
Yes I LOL'd at myself. I fail! Woot! But really now, FAIL VZW! FAIL! On your FRG22 debacle. FAIL on your lateness. BUT MOST OF ALL FAIL ON YOUR REP WHO IS A DUMB OX! Thank you for your time.

@RonAnderson
Sprint charges an additional $29.99 for their Mobile Hot Spot feature (at least on my plan). Not sure about the tethering option but I have a hard time believing they are giving that away for free...
