@vzwsupport on twitter absolutey refuses to answer my question about the 2.3.4 update for the Droid Incredible i have sent several tweets and one direct message over the last 3 days.. i am not a happy camper

They probably didn't respond because they must be working on fixing any issues and haven't determined what the plan is for the update,  that is the pleasures of software, sometime unexpected problems come up.

 

If they pulled it completely I am sure you would hear something, other than that the only solution is to wait and see.

This would be good if that answer is accepted but the issue is that a number of users this isn't enough and then they start the blasting feast and saying that they are not supplying what they promised and demand it now, I have seen this happen so much...  I really think if the statement could stay civil more information would get released more often.

 

I'm not defending Big Rad but I just try to view things from both sides and after reading the number of attitude tirades that come from some of these post I am not surprised if  no updates are released until they are sure what is going to happen.  How you handles situations determine what  gets accomplished, and yelling and screaming doesn't always lead to positive outcome.  And demanding all the time gets doors closed even faster...

I agree with wildman. An they'll take a test incredible an see if they can dupe this problem!.  if they can get the same issue to come up.  the update will be pulled an it may have allready been pulled it does'nt say this on Verizons update site but if this is Nation Wide it sure could be. And it should'nt take to long to fix it.

Hate to admit it but wildman and b33 have a point! I wish they had waited to send me mine! As impatient as I was, I would have much rather had a release with all the bugs fixed, rather than having to wait for a patch. Just my two cents, for what its worth...

I remember the same thing when FROYO was coming out. All were, 'Wanting it now'. Got it and all we saw was, "Why didn't they wait"? I remember posting  a very long post about it.

we found an issue with the update, we wil be releasing it as soon as we fix this issue, pretty simple actually....

That's all I ask too... two weeks and still no sign of the update, kinda says that it was pulled to me...

I agree, Customer Service is been getting worse over the years. Try speaking to the staff at their stores as I had over the weekend. Talk about keeping your staff in the dark on just about everything. Pretty Sad. All they are now are just salesman, and not very informative.

As of yesrerday they said its out since sept 1 but i think that is when htc said it would be within sept to get it. It never takes 3 weeks to get an update atleast i have never had that it did before this.

This is my issue, they had an issue with the update and stop it. That sounds to me like the right thing to do, no question. But what about the phone that got the update with the issues? Those should be rolled back until the update is stable...

 

unless they had to plan for "what if" scenarios...

 

 

(sounds like bad Program Management and poor testing...)
