I received the prompt for this update tonight and am currently installing it. I did receive the not enough space message and had to do the steps to get 2.3 installed. Now it is installing fine I am assuming. Just wondering if everything is working out for others.

The update finished installing. I got the congrats message. It took about 15 mins to install once I got past the low space message. I am going to play around with it and see if I can spot any differences. I will post my findings.

Did it wake you up at 2am in a reboot loop? It's done it to me for the past 3 nights. Several of us are experiencing this.

Yes it did. It stopped around 6am. I haven't noticed any improvements at all. I was hoping at least the loading screen on app exit would be fixed.

Looks like something is optimizing the internal memory or SW is doing upgrade in background , I tried leaving it for 1 night and it never happened again.
For my friend it happened for 2 nights and then we both experienced it is behaving well. His memory was almost full and we noticed phone was bit faster than it usually was with older ROM before update.
I would advise to be patient and let him do that once without removing battery , you can put him in Vibrator or silent mode by Volume keys and leave it overnight , I beleive that will help you guys as well. Its my second day without any issue over night or day. I love this device.
Good Luck!

since the last update was a nightmare I am cautious of automatically downloading. I have not seen anything yet from HTC & Verizon on what the enhancements are.

You can go in settings , applications - Select All- Press Menu ( from 4 soft keys ) and sort by size .
After doing above , go to all 3rd party apps which are having big sizes like facebook , maps etc.
click on each application and under that press Clear cache.
This will help to get rid of a huge amount of junk cache sitting and eating your internal memory.
Good Luck

Like SmartGuy said, turn it down to silent before going to bed, and let it do its thing. I woke up at 4am and looked at it. It was on, and I swiped it, and it started rebooting again. I let it be. This morning it was on and operating fine. The other 3 nights I was pulling the battery to stop it. Hoping it doesn't do it again, and I don't have to reset my phone.

I was woken 2 nights in a row with my phone cycling. the service rep contacted HTC. They are pushing a large software push which takes up to 3 hours. They have it scheduled to occur starting at 0200 hours in the morning to 0500 AM. I kept interrupting the cycle because it was waking me. Verizon says the cycling is part of the software upgrade and that I should turn the sound off and let it completely finish this time. It seems logical based upon my issues since Friday. Thaought others need to know about this. I asked Verizon why they did not send all of us a text link to a website explaining the process so we did not interrupt the update, they stated that would probably have been a good thing and did not understand why they did not do it.

After the upgrade 2 weeks ago, my phone has been cycling EVERY NIGHT starting at 2:00am. The first night I turned the sound off and let it reset every 5 minutes until I finally got back to sleep. The next few nights I powered it down so I could get some sleep. Fortunately I have a clock radio for an alarm and don't rely on the phone.
Two days ago my wife got the same upgrade notice, since we have identical Incredibles. I thought the resets were because of some new apps I installed, so I told her to go ahead and install the upgrade. Now BOTH of our phones have been resetting at 2:00 am for 3 days now. Last night hers was still rebooting at 4:30 am, so she shut the sound off. She uses her phone alarm, so I had to set my clock radio so she wouldn't miss an appointment. I just now realized that the ringer and alarms have different volume controls, but we shouldn't have to turn the ringer off at night,
I don't believe Verizon's story about a lengthy software upgrade. Like I said, I've been letting our phones reboot all night for several days. We can't shut our phones off or turn off the ringer because we don't want to miss an emergency call. This absolutely has to get fixed. Does anyone from Verizon actually read these boards?

Since the update has anyone experienced their phone locking up occasionally, requiring a battery pull? I have done a complete factory reset and my phone still becomes unresponsive every few days, usually after a restart.

This update is given me more grief than anything I've experienced with my phone. It locks up every 15 minutes or so and won't allow me to call out.

You are better off than I am right now. Mine made it through two partial reboots and hung up. Now it will not complete a reboot. It gets to "DROI..." and starts all over. I guess a factory reset is my only option?

I tried that on my phone it didn't work. Verizon seriously messed my our phones and now they wont respond to any messages. Hoe can I call and complain if my phone wont even turn on?

Nothing but grief from me. My DINC ran perfectly prior to this upgrade, now it locks up frequently requiring battery pull. I really HATE doing a factory reset, but it's either that, or I upgrade my phone, in order to rid myself of these issues.

I have now done two factory resets but to no avail. It still locks up, albeit, inconsistently. I would recommend trying to abstain from shutting it down or restarting it as that is when it seems to give me the most trouble. I knew going to the verizon store would do nothing and they just proved me right by saying that the phone was out of warranty and that because the updates are pushed by HTC I would have to talk to them about my issue, deal with it, or get a new phone. Though I don't recall agreeing to any waiver of Verizon's liability for pedaling software that has damaged my phone. I really don't need a new phone, I take care of my things and a $500 phone should last more than 2 years (at least in terms of hardware). Mine worked fine until this update. This is horrendously stupid on so many levels. You can try to factory reset but if it happens again know that it's not just you.
