The Phone And Its Screen

I'm having phone issues. Specifically that the screen goes out as I'm trying to key in my password. I've tried holding it flat, which causes the most problems. Holding it vertically is a 50/50 crap shoot. Is there a setting where I can make the phone light stay on till I hang up or do I have to keep hanging on?(sorry, bad pun)

You can change the screens "auto backlight" which is probably causing it to dim out and the "screen timeout" options to improve the behavior. goto:

Menu-Settings-sound & display-(scroll down to display settings)

I placed a check next to "disable auto backlight" (This option adjust the backlight based the light being picked up by the sensor on the phone. I found it annoying.)

I also adjusted my screen timeout time to 2 minutes. You can change that to whtever setting works for you. The longer it is on, the more power it uses, so play with it if you notice battery power going down quicker.
