I am planning a trip soon and would like to use the Droid in the car. Anyone find a good third-party car dock since I doubt I will be able to get a Verizon car dock anytime soon?
Amazon and Ebay have several that will fit and work great. I bought one on ebay that looks like it will be awesome. It opens wide enough to put the phone in long ways so i don't have to rotate it to get it how I want it and the mount comes off the arm and it comes with mounts for air vents so if I would rather have it hang from the air vent or something I have that option. The droid is about 4.5 inches long and about 2 inches wide so anything that is adjustable to that size ought to work fine. You just have to remember to manually put it into car mode which i put a shortcut on my home screen so that should be easy enough. I may experemint with placing a refridgerator magnet in it and see how that works but I am a little afraid of that and will probably just do it while I am plugging it in and everything.
I ordered the Droid car dock from VZW yesterday. I should have it Tuesday! Cant wait to replace my TomTom!

I was expecting a much higher price tag, considering what the dock for an iPhone is supposed to be.
Tried to buy dock but site does not show in stock and will not process Buy.
I guess in came in stock and out in a hurry.
That dock looks nice and clean, but I kind of like the adjustable arm on these to where you can move it anywhere you want...
