Anyone else have these following issues?
- Battery heating up to over 120 degrees after only about 5 minutes of use.
- Device is always cycling through the signals. See, most of the time the phone will have full 3G until I use it, then it cycles. I usually lose the signal and want to throw the **bleep** thing into a lake. Seems to be a whole lot worse after the GB update, Some update.
- Sometimes the X2 won't send texts. Even with a great signal it won't send. About 90% of the time I have to restart the phone and try again.
- The phone's screen always rotates as soon as I set it down. It drives me crazy. I don't want to uncheck the 'Auto-Rotate' box in the settings and just deal with it. That;s not why I pay an un-godly amount of money to not be able to use my phone.
- The notification light stays on after charging. It won't go off unless I restart the phone.
- Customer service always tells me to factory reset my device. Why the cap do I have to reset my device everytime I need a issue resolved? EVERYTIME.
- Customer service always asks me about my apps. 5 minutes of Angry Birds should not cause a meltdown of my phone.
This is seriously driving me crazy. On the 2nd phone now, probably going to a 3rd. If you have/had these issues what was the outcome?

Do not worry my friend. I have 7 DX2's since the inception of ots release. I have had similar problems. And yes I did upgrade to the Bionic last week and was not impresses it went back today. I was losing apps on the Bionic also. As far as the DX2 I was watching NFL redzone yesterday and I must say the clarity and colors are washed out and very pixilated on the Driod X2 and the Bionic is horrible and almost unwatchable on the NFL app. Then I compared with a old LG ally on another line there is no comparison much better on the Ally. I am not a fan on the Qhd from Motorola. Just a gimmick my Motorola. I will not by a phone with this screen. Were already paying to much money for junk like that. I can not get away from Verizon fast enough. Hurry up March. All 4 lines are going with me some where else.

QHD gas NOTHING to do with what you are seeing... It's the Pentile they use is causing the pixelation. Look at T-Mobile Sensation 4G and you will see what I am talking about.
I have a feeling it's an app installed that is causing both of your problems. Especially if you are going through 7+ devices. I seen it enough times and actually have a writeup somewhere about it. Most people overlook their apps and blame devices.

@ E j: Well it may not be the best salution but i would prefer doing an Fr an Hoping it Works. As to giving up my brand new phone if it's past the 14 Days. For some one elses mess even though it's been thru the so called 16 point inspection you do'nt know how that phone was treated. For some i guess its ok to get a refurb but for me i'll sweat out it out till there's a salution to fix the problem. B33
Update: to add what i wrote to E j on my X i've seen some minor issues an the gremlin that turns itself on. On accasion but doing the Fr as Wildman has said in his Post. It clears up any Loose & Little particles left by the old OS. An putes like the Ginger Os on a clean platfom. It can sometime help but it may not always help but as he said its better than doing Nothing at all. B33

Well, after the resets the issues are still there. It seems to have the go-to solution everytime. After having the phone for only a day there is no reason for it.

You might have too: exuse the Fraze do an FR it may help. it may not.. But if you haven't done an Factory Reset though since buying the Droid X2. It would'nt hurt at all to do it an it just might fix the issues your both are having. Give it a Try an post the resolts.
One foot Note: It's better to do this as to take the phone back to the Store or send it in for a factory refurd that some one els has had there hands on. An remember this I've had my X for over a year Now bought the day after release its been thru three OS Builds Eclair , Fro-Yo , an now Gingerbread an each time before or after i did the new updates i did a Factory Reset on my X. An i've still got it today no body is getting my X an i'm not getting some one elses.!! that is unless i absolutly have to. too witch i'm not in favor of. ((( B33

Maybe its that particular NFL app but like I said compared to the LG ALLY on other account side by side the pentile just is horrible. Netflix is ok and looks good on the DX2. However, I prefer the screen on the original X then the x2. Maybe its individual preference for the user. I think and its my personal preference again side by side on the dX2 and the Bionic. The DX2 even looks better, The Bionic looks washed out and dingy.

It has NOTHING to do with the apps, QHD, or the OS.
Sensation 4G uses QHD just like the Droid X2, Droid 3, Atrix, and Bionic. The ONLY difference is how the pixels are setup which makes the difference. Motorola uses Pentile which helps with battery life, while the Sensation uses the normal setup pixels that everyone is used to. MOST people don't notice it at all either, but some people will.
