Trading a Motorola Droid 1 for a Motorola Droid 2

I recently purchased a Droid 2 thru MyCell. Compared to my old phone, it is way over my head and I rarely use it. My son, also with Verizon, has a Droid 1 and uses his phone constantly.  Is there a way that we can we switch phones/sim cards?

You can't switch sim cards because those two CDMA type phones do not use sim cards. The droid 2 is an updated version of the droid 1.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I don't know, but I doubt the Droid 1 and Droid 2 are very much different in how they operate.

Since you are switching two active numbers, it is recommended that you have  our customer care department at 1-800-922-0204 make the change of the 2 phones.

You can dial *228 send and option 1 from the phone and follow the prompts  to activate the phone but the device would need to be in-active and could not be on an active account.

You can also Log in to your My Verizon Account as the  Account Owner Role, then go to shop,  and then activate phone.
