Transfer info from Ipod touch to Droid

Hello, I just got my Droid Incredible today (very excited!) and have a couple of questions I guess. I've been using the calendar on my Ipod pretty regularly for about the past year and still have a number of future appointments set on it.  Can I transfer that calendar to the Droid?

My other question is how do you transfer all the music from the Ipod to the Droid?

thanks, greatly appreciate the help!

No problem transferring music. Just hook-up the DInc to the PC or Mac housing the music, and use it like a hard drive. There will be two disk options: (1) storage directly on the DInc, and (2) the DInc's SD card. You can replace the stock SD card fairly cheaply and gain a lot more storage space. I recommend Double Twist in the Android Market over the stock music player on your DInc. (You can transfer your music over from iTunes without issue, except perhaps for some songs that still have the digital rights management license on there -- older downloads.)

I'm not sure about the iCal dates on your iPod. If you can get the calendar to sync with your DInc, I would like to know. I know that mine doesn't automatically do that, and I wouldn't expect it to either. You may be looking at manually transferring some things over.

I hope this is helpful.

I found a possible answer to your iCal question on another forum. Search "Mac to Droid Pro Sync" and scroll down to the third comment in the thread by VZW employee, Zrock02.

First: Sync your i Pod with Gmail.

Over  a Wi-fi Connection.

Only OS 3.0 and above is supported.

Open the Settings application on your iPhone's home screen.

Open Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Tap Add Account....

Select Microsoft Exchange.

Enter Account Info In the Email field, enter your full Google Account email address. If you use an @googlemail.com address, you may see an "Unable to verify certificate" warning when you proceed to the next step.  Leave the Domain field blank. Enter your full Google Account email address as the Username.  Enter your Google Account password as the Password. Tap Next at the top of your screen. Choose Accept if the Unable to Verify Certificate dialog appears. A new Server field will appear. Enter m.google.com. Press Next at the top of your screen again.

Select the Google services you want to sync.

Unless you want to delete all the existing Contacts and Calendars on your phone, select the Keep on my I Pod option when prompted. This will also allow you to keep syncing with your computer via iTunes.

If you want to sync only the My Contacts group, you must choose to Delete Existing Contacts during the Google Sync install when prompted. If you choose to keep existing contacts, it will sync the contents of the "All Contacts" group instead
You've set up Google Sync for your I Pod.

Synchronization will begin automatically if you have Push enabled on your phone. You can also open the Mail, Calendar or Contacts app and wait a few seconds to start a sync.

Step 2 - Setup your Incredible

On your Incredible make sure you have connected your Gmail account.

Go to Contacts > Menu > Accounts.
Select your Gmail account > Menu > Sync Now.

Your new contacts and/or calendar will be imported and synced - Any duplicates should be merged.
