I'm going to Thailand soon. I understand my droid will work there as far as making (roaming) calls. Will my droid apps work as well?
TIA

Just returned from Thailand with a Droid Global. Android applications worked and updated fine using Wi-fi which was readily available at the hotel.

I have a droid global as well. It came with a pre-installed SIM card. I will be living in Thailand predominantly and was wondering how you got your phone to work. Did you have to subscribe to the global service through Verizon (hence, paying all of the roaming fees etc) or did you subscribe to Verizon's global service prior to leaving for Thailand? I was told to suspend my service with Verizon for 3 months, reactivating when I traveled back, and then purchasing a SIM card in Thailand, but will all my apps work then. Our how in Thailand does have wireless.
