Turning off phone

Since I downloaded the newest update for my Droid X, I can not turn off the power.  After I think I powered it down, it mysteriously powers back up.  What gives?

This is a well know (and documented) bug in Gingerbread ...  (You can find it using the SEARCH ability up above).
