Two more questions...

Y'all, please let me know if I'm asking too many questions...but I have two more:

1.  After the random reboots, while the phone is flat on the desk in portrait mode, when I click on an app or shortcut (e.g. email or Facebook) without picking up the phone, it opens in landscape mode.  Granted, not a serious issue, but mildly irritating.  Any idea why this might be happening?

2.  I'm using "Advanced Task Killer Froyo", and when it pulls up the list of apps, there are several apps that I don't use or have never used.  For example, "Amazon MP3", "Voice Commands" and "Alarm and TImer" (among others) are open now.  When I click on "KILL Selected Apps", most of those I selected are gone (except for "Voice Commands" which never seems to be "killed").  Then when I pull up the list a few minutes later, most of the apps I 'killed' are back (along with some others).  What's causing these to restart?  What can I do to stop these apps from starting up?  Is there another "Task Killer/Manager" app that is better to use?

Thanks in advance!

This happens because of the auto screen rotation feature, when laying on the table and the surface isn't flat the sensor sees the device in the rotated state, since the home page is defaulted to portrait and does not rotate you do not notice this until you open a app that supports landscape mode.  This is normal, sometime you can calibrate the compass to resolve this.  Goto Settings > Location and Security > Calibrate Compass > Calibrate.

A number of apps are set to autostart when they device is booted or is part if another app you may open and reopens to run the app, Voice Command and Alarm and Timer is required, Voice command is used for Google Voice and Alarm and Timer is required for appointments and calendar reminders. I suggest you set those items to ignore to avoid issues because you can not close everything listed because some of the files are system files and is required to make device work correctly.  Press on item and select Ignore from the list on required apps to avoid issues and hide from list..   Also have you set up the auto close option in Advance Task Killer?
