I am planning on upgrading and getting a smartphone soon. I wanted the Droid when I first saw it, but have heard some rumors. First, can the Droid sync with an exchange server using the regular data package, and second, is there really a problem with sending and receiving attachments with the Droid??

I have mine set up for my personal gmail and for my work email which is via an exchange server. I use the regular built in apps and have had no trouble. They go to separate inboxes, but I kind of like it that way. I have read attachments (downloaded a free app "documents to go" that allows me to view office documents. The only attachment I have sent so far was a picture I took with the camera. It works for my needs.
Also, I just have the basic 29.99 email and data plan. No extra fee for exchange email access.
