UP DATE Battery Life

Every since my phone did the up date my battery life has been cut in 1/2. Anyone else having this problem?

Check to make sure your battery usage didn't get set to "performance".

I didn't notice any change in battery life after the update though.

Yes I am having the same problem!!!!

I used to be able to go 2 days without a charge but not since the update.

My battery life actually improved a bit with the upgrade.

menu/manage apps, see what's running, maybe something in the background that you're aware of or maybe not aware of.

every wednesday i get an update for google books, which i remove.

my batt life improved.

The OP marked this as solved, but bearone21, I did as you suggested. I shut down practically everything. My battery life did not change. It shows the display using 70% and up. It makes sense and for a display this large, it is understandable.

What isn't understandable is why my battery lasted much longer on a charge before GB. But, I'm sure there's a kernel, a code, a spk, frp, or some other techy geeky explanation that is over my head.

Like I said, for this display size, it's no big deal.

I'm gettin about 8 to 10 hours on my extended battery on my X an about 4 to 6 maybee 8 when streeming winamp but since i've got another year to go i went to verizon an bought me another extended battery plus i like the battery cover for the X2 alott better than the one i had on it. It Tapers around the battery alott better than the old one an it looks an feels alott sharper. an if the old battery tanks i can simply slip in the new one. :smileyhappy:

So B33 - you're saying the Extended Battery they're offering is now for both the X & X2 ? or did they still have the one for the X, but you bought the one for the X2? And they're Compatible? Can you tell us what the part # is for the X2's battery?

Cody, I took the extended battery out of my X and put it in my X2, no apparent issues (I moved the extended battery door over to the X2 as well). It will go from around 6:00am to 5 or 6 pm, when it's down to 20% and I put in on a charger to warm it up for the evening. I think it should be better, especially since I saw a lot of people talk about how much better the (stock) battery life was on the X2. I haven't seen this improvement. I do know that because I use the phone's display a lot, that's where the battery life is going. And I do believe I remember making note of the fact that the X2 does use the same stock battery as the X.

The only weird thing I see on the X2's GB update is now the green notification light flashes every 5 seconds or so when the screen is off and locked.

The batteries are the same cody for the X an X2 the No's are BH6X as for the for the new cover its tapered on the ends wich i like alott better. the cover looks really good on it cody better than the old one. the only change is were the back side of my X is gray the new battery cover is black but that does'nt bother me at all.
