WHEN is it coming ? Is this a joke being played on us? Why is Verizon blocking this update? Hell we should up to 3.0 RIGHT. Verizon has no respect for it's customers doe's it? I'm sick of them!!

you're sadly misinformed about this update which is, for the moment, not been updated by any carrier on a phone 1 year old.
I follow Android news and this is no reason to complain about VZW There is a RUMOUR that we'll get the 2.3 update by "the end of the 2nd quarter". just a rumour

Just wanted to share this with all here... I've seen the email posted via Android Central too, and guess what, I decided to send an email to HTC support this morning asking about Gingerbread update for the Droid Incredible (since recently it was announced that Incredible S and the Desire are going to get it soon). I am modifying the email text by removing my name and blocking off the last 6 digits of the ticket number for obvious reasons....
Here is what I got back in my email ....

The HTC Incredible will receive the Gingerbread Android 2.3 update in the second quarter of 2011. Due to the process it takes to create and release any update for a device, I do not have the exact date an update will be released for any device. We will have more information regarding the update once we get closer to the update availability. I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
Please reply back if you have any questions regarding this Email, and do not hesitate to contact HTC in the future.
