Unable to add a new contact and web browser...

I suddenly am having an issue when I try to add a new contact to People (htc contacts app). When I click save, I get the error message "Sorry! The application People (process com.android.htccontacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
*Force Close button at bottom of the message.
The new contact doesn't get saved either.
Also, web browser crashes when it loads websites.
Does anyone know what could be the solutions?

If your receiving an error message when adding contacts, you an try to power cycle the phone and remove the battery for 1-2 minutes to perform a soft reset. 

 

You can also try following these steps to correct the issue:

----go to settings - accounts and sync, turn off auto sync and then remove your facebook account from the "manage accounts"

----Go back into the "people" application and go to "online directories"  then go to facebook. re-enter your details.

Listed below are steps to add contacts:

  1. From the Home screen, touch the applications tab (located in the lower-left).
  2. Touch People.

  3. Touch the Contacts all icon.

  4. Touch Menu to:  add contacts, delete contacts, edit contacts, or add a pause/wait

 

Adding a contact

  1. Touch New contact.

  2. Touch the name field.

  3. Enter the first and last name then press OK.

  4. Touch the Contact type drop-down..

  5. Touch the contact type to choose the account the contact is created under.
    Phone will sync with Backup Assistant, Google will sync with the Gmail account, etc.

  6. Touch the Phone label icon.

  7. Touch the phone label.

  8. Enter the phone number.

  9. Enter the email address.

  10. Touch the Group drop-down.

  11. Touch the group(s) then touch OK.

  12. Touch Add.

  13. If desired, touch then enter the additional contact information.
    • Phone
    • Email
    • IM
    • Postal address
    • Events
    • Other
  14. Touch Save.
