Unable to send text messages

I received my Droid Incredible today and after sending one text to my sister (who is also on Verizon and on the same plan on as me) I get an error message that I can't send texts (SMS Error, Network Problems. Cause Code: 1 Error Class:3). I have tried clearing the Messages data, "soft" restarting and killing all the apps running on my phone. Nothing has worked so far.

If you haven't, try calling *228 and choose option 1 and see if that clears up the issue.

GOOD LUCK I've been trying to get that fixed for over 2 months. They have replaced the phone twice now and opened and closed several network tickets. Network guys say it is hardware, hardware guys say it is network and nobody seems to want to actually fix the problem

I am unable to send text messages or make phone calls. Internet access on the phone over wireless or 3G is fine.

*228 did nothing to fix the problem

This is my 5th incredible. I won't ever buy another HTC phone again.
