Okay I don't have an Incredible, but I recently had to install HTC Sync to get this HTC Aria I have for my" fun" transition to AT&T. And just my luck, they finally release the Froyo update for the phone yesterday. The bad news is I had to install HTC Sync to install it. Ugh.
I got the Aria updated, but now I want HC Sync off my computer. Does anyone know what I have to uninstall to get it completely removed? I prefer to use the disk drive option to connect to the computer.
The HTC sync installed the following programs. Do I remove all of them or can I keep some for other items later?
HTC Sync
HTC Driver Installer
HTC BMP USB Driver
Adobe AIR
MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser (not sure where this came from but it was in the list as installed on the same day as the others)
I much rather ask this group of HTC phone users then the people over in the AT&T forum. It feels like there is more knowledge here. Thanks.

I would just find the program (it is there) in Programs and Features under the Control Panel and delete them that way

depending on your version of windows, it may be listed under "add or remove programs" in the control panel.

While I do have both win xp and win 7 computers, it was the win 7 machine I did the froyo update on. It is a little faster and had easy access to the wired connection within my home network.
Thanks for the assist everyone.

That program you mentioned, MSXML 4.0 SP3 Parser, has nothing to do with HTC Sync. It is a Service Pack 3 Update to your Microsoft (MS) XML reader (XML). Don't uninstall it. It could contain important security updates to your computer. It's usually automatically installed, so don't worry that it was installed on the same day as the HTC stuff.
