Update issue

Ever since I updated my droid x a week ago....when I go to setting / about phone / update, it can't check for updates it says "Check for Update was not available at this time.....Try again later" This only started since I did the last update. It used to say " phone is up to date" Do I have a problem?

Try to do a battery pull then once your device is powered back up perform a PRL update by dialing *228, option 2. Then go back to Options>About Phone>System updates. Also check the system version by selecting Options>About Phone>System Version. The latest avaiblable software version is 1.13.604.MB810.
