Update killed my email retrievals

Ever since the update on 10/1 my phone no longer checks for emails automatically even though it is set to do so every 15 minutes. I have tried turning it off and turning it back on and I tried removing the battery but it still won't retrieve emails unless I force it to manually.Any ideas?

Go to Settings - Applications - Manage Apps - Select your email app(s) and select Clear Cache.

 

 

This update has been out since June of this year, by the way. Try doing a search on these forums. Every single post that's been posted within the last few days, has been gone over time and time again back in June when it first came out.

I just tried this because I'm not getting my emails either and it did not work.

GT511 and Spikesmom, please also make sure your Background Data is enabled in Settings>Data Manager>Data Delivery. Also make sure the email notifications are set to appear in the notification bar by going to Email>press the Menu button>Message Settings>Email>Notifications. If these steps and clearing the cache do not work, try removing the account and re-adding it to the phone.
