I've only had this phone for a couple of weeks. It's my first experience with a "smartphone". At this point I am ready to flush it and go without. I don't use my phone for much, and I have a very basic plan. Still, I work hard to pay for the inflated cost to have access to the features of this phone. Since it automatically updated itself a couple days ago, it constantly reboots, or just dies. I have to take the battery out and put it back in to get any life in it. Then, what was a fully charged battery declares itself dead and in need of a charge. Useless is what this phone is at this point.
Other than taking it back to Verizon and demanding a new one, what can I do?? This is a brand new phone!

Angspel,
I can understand your frustration over having several issues with your device. When your phone reboots, is it rebooting when using any certain application or action? Also, how long is your battery lasting? Make sure you have WiFi and Bluetooth turned off when using them. Check your Running Services in Settings>Applications often to see what applications are running in the background. Also follow some of these battery saving tips.
One thing I do recommend after a major software update to a phone is a factory reset. This erases all data from the phone and resets it to factory default settings. Sometimes data or applications that worked on Froyo may not work as well on Gingerbread. I would suggest resetting the phone, and not installing all applications right away. Use the phone for a day or two without any apps, then load them one at a time. Also, don't load any antivirus programs because those can sometimes cause more harm than good.
