Updates and Ringtone Maker ?'s

Good Morning,

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.  I keep seeing things re: Gingerbread update for the Droid Incredible.    What is this update and how do I get it?

Also, I had done some searching on how to use a song for a text message notification.  While searching for that, I came across an app for a MP3 Ringtone Maker.   (I was searching in the market.)   Has anyone used this before?

The gingerbread update had been pulled until they can fix it as for your text sound ..use ringdroid...its free and works well
