Upgrade policy same as for Droid X?

Is Verizon allowing existing customers whose plans expire anytime this year to upgrade to Droid 2 with no penalty like they did for Droid X?

Yes. It actually applies to all smartphones. They really aren't giving you much of a deal as anyone who can get the early upgrade promotion will be eligible for NE2 on Aug 31 at the latest anyways.
