I am really thinking about upgrading to this phone but I have never own a android based phone. I want get everyone opinion of the battery life and performance for a email/text user I hardly talk on my current blackberry

I am not sure how many people out there got text messaged last week but I got a message stating I was eligible for a upgrade but when I login the lowest promotional pricing is not reflecting. Is this a promotion where it can only be completed over the phone since there was a call back number included

Incredible has a bad battery life, but if you buy the external battery then you should have no problems. Battery life should improve

Thank you for the timely response. I will have to consider a extra battery if it did come to that.

very poor battery life. other than that though, i absolutely love it!!!! i had never had a droid either and it was pretty easy to get set up and learn how to use. a word of caution....many iphone and blackberry users have complaints as there will be a learning curve. people get used to doing thing a certain way and you'll find that you can do everything that you could on your bb, but it may be a bit different. as far as the promo goes.....that's different for everyone depending on your current contract, when it expires, price plan, etc. you'd prolly have to call or go into a store. you WILL love the phone though!

You have to order over the phone and tell them you got a text or go into a verizon store and show them the text to get the upgrade. If your gonna get the incredible your gonna LOVE it, I came from a bb (and never had an android) and it's the coolest phone ever! But it does take some learning it's a big change but it's very easy to get use to. Good Luck!

I love my Droid Incredible.  Honestly though, there are a few "disappointments" such as, poor battery life (solved if you order the extended battery), mediocre texting,  facebook app sucks, mediocre calendering and alarm clock features as well as other small things.  Coming from a Blackberry Storm, I would like to have some of its features such as auto shut on and off.  Currently if you set your alarm clock and turn your phone off for the evening to save battery life, obviously the alarm will not go off.  With the Blackberry Storm, I was able to set the phone to turn on and off at certain times preventing me from missing my alarm clock notifications.

The Incredible also has a screen resolution flaw when you are outside.  It is very hard to see the screen in direct sunlight.  It does not have a vibrate and ring feature.

All of my little things are just little things though.  I still give this phone 5 stars.  It is the best phone I have had.  I am still learning new things about the phone and I've had it for 2 months now.  Love the Android Market.  There's lots of apps/games etc you can find there free or pay.
