I recently upgraded to Droid X. I am interested in using my Droid X as a mobile hot spot for my laptop. Can anyone point me to instructions on how to make this happen?

You will need both the APP & to subscribe for the HotSpot feature - $20/mo.
Here are some links that might help. (This first one is for the Thunderbolt but should apply to the DROID X as well.)

Good luck.

Log into your VZW account online or call up CS. If you log in, you need to change your features and service. There is a link on your VZW account home page. Get into that and add the mobile hotspot feature. It currently runs $20 per month. Or if you prefer, call up Customer Service and have them add the feature to your line.
Once it is added, grab your X and pull up your 3G Hotspot app and follow the onscreen prompts.
Goodluck!
