Using phone as a modem

How do you use the phone as a modem? I hooked up the usb cable to my pc and went to settings and internet connection mode, but I still have no internet on the pc. What am I doing wrong?

This is a great feature of using a smart phone! There is a feature you have to add to the line in order to access the hotspot/internet connection mode. You can have this added on vzw.com/myverizon or by contacting us. The feature charge is $20 per month for 2GB of data allowance.
