MY wife and I both love our droidS, but there is one that is really lacking, and that is VOICE CALLING, oh sure , there is program called the voice dialer, but it has never worked right on either phone. when you use it , you always get a message saying is this who want to call? Some of the time it will right and other times which is most of the time it will wrong.
LET ME TELL YOU WHAT I MEAN. I will press the voice dialer and say "CALL MARY CELL" and then a message comes up and says did you mean call MARY CELL, then you have to push OK. But if you say 'CALL MARY HOME' you get 3 or 4 different contacts that are not even close.
BUT MY POINT IS THIS----YOU STILL HAVE TO TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD TO CHECK IF IT IS DIALING THE RIGHT NUMBER. AND IT DOESN'T GET THE VOICE COMMAND RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there an app that we can download (free or paid) that will work with these phones????

If you take the time to read previous postings on this issue you'll find several. When i got Droids ( Mine & Wife's ), I also had the frustration of not being able to use Bluetooth dialing that was an accepted use on other phones. Motorola really dropped the ball here. I installed Froyo 22D myself and that upgrade now allows hands-free dialing, but the native dialer with the phone is dismal to say the least. It gets everything wrong.
I was steered to Choice Dialer+ which admittedly is NOT FREE if you're just looking for free stuff. It costs about $4.00 via the Market but I've found it to work very well. I had a few recognition issues at first but the developer is very quick to respond to e-mails and has upgraded it to the point that it works better than the old Verizon voice dialer on my enV3 did. It confirms your query and then says "OK" to let you know it's dialing. I have a Jawbone Icon and an original Jawbone and both work legally now. I urge you to give the app a try and you can get a refund within 24 hours if you don't like it.

Just as old pilot says if you would have searched you would find me saying, Google voice search, Google even has a car home app now as well
My first search before posting turned about 70 hits about using bluetooth.
I am NOT looking for bluetooth.
{please keep your posts courteous-Thanks!}
