It wont let me install software because I'm running a 64bit OS.. What can I do?

I am having the same problem. I am paying to tether my Incredible to use it as a modem...but I have been unable to load the VZAM software on my new Acer running Windows 7, 64 bit...
Had no problem with this software on my other two laptops, one running XP, the other running Vista...but so far have not been able to tether my Incredible to my new laptop.
I went online for a fix, but the fix did not work. Then I finally took it to a local computer shop and they couldn't get this simple little program to load either. Is there some kind of work-around I could use to dial into the Internet?
