VZW- Where are your loyal customers 2.2 Update for HTC Incredible, released on August 27?

What is the current news on the 2.2. Update?

The HTC Droid Incredible, one of the more popular Android-based smartphones on the market, will now be running the most advanced version of that operating system.

Verizon Wireless started rolling out Android 2.2 as an over-the-air update to Droid Incredible owners on Friday. The company didn't say how long it will take for the rollout to be complete. But given that Android 2.2 was unveiled in May and started landing on some rival handsets in June, Verizon would be smart to get it out as quickly as possible.

Android 2.2 is a relatively substantial upgrade over Android 2.1. Upon downloading the software, Droid Incredible owners will have Flash 10.1 support, 720p video recording, and the ability to use their smartphone as a 3G hot spot for up to five Wi-Fi devices.

The HTC Droid Incredible is now the third Verizon phone--after the Motorola Droid andDroid 2--to receive the update. The Motorola Droid X is scheduled to be updated to Android 2.2 next month.

I'd like this update as much as the next guy. I feel for ya man but I think some people are misunderstanding the concept of these forums. Yes, its a peer to peer forum with some input from vzw staff. The overall idea is to post a thread concerning a question you may have about the specific device, get some ideas from other users, then hopefully get an answer. Ultimately the goal on the thread is to "solve" it so other users can search the threads and find an answer without going through all the steps you did.
Like I said I'm just as impatient as you are for this update but I think new threads every day on the same topic is a little overboard considering I can see similar posts on the main board. Posts haven't even been bumped to page 2 so I know its visible.
I hope I'm not coming off nasty. It's just a little tough navigating around all the same posts.
We hope this update comes today! I'm excited!
