Connecting the DROID X to a PC (Personal Computer) will cause the Browser to open and a custom V CAST Media Manager download page to be displayed. The custom web page is designed to encourage you to download and install the V CAST Media Manager software. After you install the DROID X, using the Motorola Software Setup Wizard, their Internet Browsers will automatically open and launch the custom V CAST Media Manager download page. The custom download page will be displayed every time the device is connected until the V CAST Media Manager software is installed. You will not be able to disable or delay the Browser from opening and displaying the custom download page. Only the installation of the V CAST Media Manager software will stop that from occurring.
The instructions that the users have posted allows you to disable the popup, just plug in and right click the "M" icon and uncheck the run option or depending on the version you are running on app you can uninstall the app from the Add and Remove menu... Follow instruction posted at http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-X-by-Motorola/USB-Connection-Issue/m-p/322766#M14171
NOTE: Also disable the auto run feature on drive and wont be prompted again....

When you insert your USB cable & Phone, right-click the MOTO Helper icon in your system tray. There is an option on "what to do on launch" -- just set it to "do nothing" ...

If you have a laptop running on a 64 bit system, forget the media manager. It does not work on a 64 bit system. As for transfering files from you phone to your PC or from your PC to your phone, just connect the two using the usb cord which came with the phone. Your phone will show a USB connection in the Notification Bar. Pull the bar down and tap on the USB connection. Select USB Mass Storage. Your PC will open a browser and tell you about the media manager. Just close the browser and ignore the media manager. Open up "Your Computer". You should see "CD Drive (letter)Motorola". Forget this, but under it you should see "Removable Disk (letter)". Open this up. Then you can either copy any file or drag any file back and forth. Don't worry about dragging a file from your PC to the phone. Just drag it to the lettered slot and it will put the file(s) in the correct section.

Is there any way to do this for HTC phones? I have HTC Incredible, and naturally I can't click any Motorola program. The best solution I've found was to block the plugin, but that annoying page will still come up. I realize this is a Motorola thread, but it's the one of maybe 2 or 3 that have this issue and all are Motorola threads.
I don't have any file called autorun.ini or anything like that in the phone's drive(s), at least in the root directory (I CAN see hidden files). I already downloaded VCast MM and that dam* thing still keeps popping up. Any help/suggestions?
