Verizon Droid Bionic 4G Porting Issue

My wife and I transitioned to Verizon cellular service on 10/8. We were excited to try out our new Droid Bionic 4G phones. Unfortunately it took over two days to get our numbers ported from Sprint. During which time we had no phone service. I confirmed with Verizon that the issue was on their end and not on Sprint's end. Apparently, Verizon's porting department was having some issues. Both of our phones started working late in the day on 10/10. We had both phone and data service.

On 10/14 I attempted to call my wife and we realized she was unable to receive or make calls. On 10/17 my phone lost the ability to make or receive calls. It has been over 12 days since my wife has been able to make/receive a call and over 10 days since I have been able to make/receive a call. I have spent countless hours (15+) talking to Verizon support to try and get this issue resolved (including visiting the Verizon store three times). It seems unbelievable that it is taking this long to restore our phone service. Is anyone else having similar issues?

Just wanted to update this post. It is now 10/31 and my wife and I are still without phone service. Neither one of us are able to make calls out and incoming calls go straight to voice mail. I've spent additional hours with customer service trying to get this issue resolved with no results. I feel like I'm going for the record of longest service outage ever. It has been over SEVENTEEN days since my wife has been able to make or receive a call and FOURTEEN days since I've been able to make or receive a call. Can anyone beat me? Any suggestions on how to get Verizon to help me?

Thought I'd give a final update to this post. My wife's phone is finally working (able to make/receive calls) as of 11/7. It took a grand total of 24 days to restore her phone service! My phone service was restored last Thursday (11/3) taking a total of 17 days! I've been in to the store four times and spent 20 to 30 hours on the phone with technical support.

Verizon never once offered to compensate us for our time or lost service. My wife complained to one of the many technical support people we worked with and they did reimburse us for one month service and our activation fees.

I'd have to say the biggest downfall of Verizon's technical support is the lack of continuity. I can't remember how many times a trouble ticket was entered with the promise to contact us when the issue was resolved. We'd wait a couple of days and call back when the phone was still not working. The trouble ticket would be closed and no one had contacted us. This cycle was repeated many, many times. One technical support contact that we could work with would have eliminated the need to re-explain the situation over and over again.

It's sad that technical support let us down so badly. I really love the Droid Bionic and the 4G LTE speeds. This whole experience has left a bad taste in my mouth for Verizon.
