Verizon Lied

Ordered Droid 15 July  3 pm with promise of next day delivery.

 

When I checked order status all I got was when we ship you'll get a email with tracking #.

 

Today at 0900 AM same message.  No Tracking #.

 

OK.  I cancelled my Verizon FIOS and my Droid X order.  I can use my Renown cell for another

two years if I have to.

 

When I'm lied to I don't get mad, I get even.

 

Directv now has my TV money.  I'm stuck with Verizon landline as ATT doesn't service my area.

 

What a {word filter avoidance} way to run a company.

If you ordered it at 3pm it was already on backorder.  The backorder announcement showed up around Noon EST.

Not on my web site it didn't so up as back ordered till 5:30 pm

I'm sorry you're right, it was showing back-ordered on website around 5pm with customer service over phone telling ppl around 4pm est.

It's funny i keep looking out my window hoping Fedex would show up........Funny think we have a trailer doing a pickup as i type..lol....VZ WHY!!!!!!!

Well, the real question lies in how did you treat csr? Were you complaining right off the bat? Don't you realize, csr's do not own the company. They just do what they can.

Actually I was very polite but tired of being given excuse after excuse and I was even polite and nice when I told them I was canceling my order for 3 phones and at least $250 a month in service all the way up when they hung up the phone before i could finish.Won't deal with a company like this.

I put my order in at 10:00 am stil havent been notified by email I called they sai it wouldnt be shipped until 7-23 If I would have wanted to pre order I would have done so. Dont know what to do know wonder if they will ship by 7-23 they lied onbce how can you truyst them

There is no conspiracy to defraud or deceive you.  VZW did not "LIE" they made a mistake.  A LIE is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive.

 

Things happen, it sucks, move on.  Throwing a temper tantrum may have worked with your parents, but not in the real world.  If you feel so slighted by these happenings, by all means refuse them your business.  Then take the opportunity to grow up a little and realize that companies are comprised of people, people are humans, and both humans and machines make mistakes.  I mean seriously, do you expect VZW to just poop a phone for you?  Do you expect them to make amends by offering you their first born son?

They usually do allow pre-orders.  I believe they made a HUGE mistake in not doing so.  It would have showed them the MASSIVE demand for this phone.

They DID offer pre-orders. I ordered mine on 7-14. They sent it on 7-15 and I got it 7-16.  IMO you can't beat that. I guess you just missed the boat! Also, I am sure EVERY company you work with has terrible service. Maybe there is a common theme here. Oh yeah, they even threw in 3 hard covers and waived all activation fees! Guess you need to learn how to deal with people and they will treat you right. nuf said....

did all of you above miss the whole htc incredible debacle???  they are CLUELESS as to how popular these devices will be. i thought for sure that after what happened with the incredible, they would have their act together before releasing the droid x. sadly, i was wrong. sorry all....they are sitting on gold and have no idea how to mine it!

I apologize for your inconvencies.  We don't have verizon phone service here in South Mississippi. But, we do have wireless phone service.   Hope direct tv works for you.
