Verizin Support Team, what is the status of the Gingerbread Update? Is it coming, is it stable?

This is kind of a generic question, if there has no official notification that it is available you might want to hold on asking when it will be released because normally no information on released dates is given until it is official and as for if it is stable, if they released the update they tested the firmware and assumed its stable from the testing they completed but at times installed software can cause issues that fif not show in testing..

 

The best thing is to wait for the official release and see how things go.

Livinthedream, this is a customer to customer forum. You need to hit the CONTACT US button in the upper right hand corner if you want to reach VZW.

 

As for your question, you will not get a date from VZW until they begin releasing it again.

@Livinthedream:  i know your excited to get the update an all but as the guys said just be patient i know its hard because some Inc.'s got the update but some are having issues as well so they may have pulled it temporarily to re evalute it. or to go in an fix the issues some are reporting.

 

I got my update an i've only experienced on a few minor issues  ( 1 )  is when Turning the Inc. off it came back on. ( 2 ) A few minor glitches. Havent experienced the text issue as of yet but i don't shuv a Ton! of text messages in an out of mine either.  An one thing i've been Very happy about is the battery life its been great to get a day and a hafe out of that Original battery. Unbelievable!

 

So all i can say is hold on tight an it'll be here weather they're re tooling it alittle or just got it on a short hold to see the issues subside or fix themselve. its hard to say an either company probably does'nt want to say anything till they get things ironed out. :smileyhappy:

 

P.s. Wildman were did you get that Wise ol Owl thats cool. B33 :smileyhappy:
